Cherkasy Regional Hospital Receives Innovative Surgical System from PrivatBank

Mikael Bjorknert, Chairman of the Management Board of PrivatBank, during a working visit to the Cherkasy region, transferred the state-of-the-art BOWA ARC 400 electrosurgical system to the CE "Cherkasy Regional Hospital". The aid was made possible through the bank's funds allocated to the "Urgent Donation" charitable program («Невідкладний донат»). The cost of the equipment, which allows for performing highly complex operations with maximum safety, exceeded 2.2 million hryvnias.

That is why the bank allocated funds to the 'Urgent Donation' program for the purchase of this electrosurgical system. We are sincerely grateful to the doctors for their work and believe that they now have tools in their hands that make complex operations safer," emphasized Mikael Bjorknert, Chairman of the Management Board of PrivatBank.

BOWA ARC 400 is a high-tech surgical assistant that automatically recognizes tissue types and instantly adjusts energy output during cuts or to stop bleeding. Such precision minimizes blood loss and significantly speeds up patient rehabilitation. The equipment is critically important for neurosurgery, cardiology, and oncology—fields where the success of an operation depends on every millimeter.

The practical value of the new equipment for regional medicine was highlighted by the head of the medical institution, who noted that the technology allows them to reach a new level of surgical care.

"The ARC 400 system minimizes thermal damage to vessels and nerves, which is vital during tumor removal or complex heart operations. The automation allows the surgeon to work faster and more professionally, which means less time under anesthesia for the patient and faster recovery.
