PrivatBank and 'Ukrainian Firefighters' provided an armored vehicle for civilian evacuation
PrivatBank and the Charitable Foundation "Ukrainian Firefighters" transferred an armored vehicle to the units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) as part of a joint charity project. The vehicle was purchased thanks to thousands of charitable contributions from PrivatBank clients who joined in supporting Ukrainian rescuers.
Joint efforts managed to raise UAH 4,500,000, of which the bank's contribution is UAH 1,000,000.
The armored vehicle will be used for evacuation, rescue, and humanitarian missions in the border areas of the Sumy region, where the enemy constantly endangers local residents. Given the constant shelling and targeted attacks on rescuers, armored equipment is the only means of preserving the lives of civilians and those who save them.
"This armored vehicle is primarily about the safety of our people and rescuers who carry out daily evacuations from the border areas of the Sumy region. Under conditions of constant Russian shelling, such equipment allows us to react faster, perform tasks more effectively, and, most importantly, save lives. We are sincerely grateful to PrivatBank, the 'Ukrainian Firefighters' Charitable Foundation, and thousands of caring Ukrainians," comments Roman Prymush, Deputy Head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
"The transfer of this armored vehicle as part of the project with PrivatBank is a tangible result of the joint efforts of thousands of concerned Ukrainians. Our rescuers risk their lives every day, evacuating people under fire and delivering humanitarian aid right up to the line of fire. The armored vehicles that our foundation has already provided to the SES have carried out hundreds of rescue missions and saved the lives of civilians and the rescuers themselves over the past two years. Armored vehicles are a concrete help for saving people that works every day," comments Andrii Bilei, Executive Director of the CF 'Ukrainian Firefighters'.
This joint project with 'Ukrainian Firefighters' is another example of PrivatBank's transparency in its charitable partnership projects. The bank regularly reports on the use of charitable contributions and the actual impact of the aid. The report for 2025 can be viewed on the website.
