Report 2025: Ukrainians Transferred Over UAH 3.5 Billion to Charity through PrivatBank
The year 2025 became a year of powerful joint results for strengthening the country's resilience: over UAH 367.5 million was raised in 16 partner charitable projects of PrivatBank with leading foundations to assist the Defense Forces of Ukraine, medical institutions, social initiatives, and people affected by the war. Of this amount, UAH 76 million was a direct contribution from PrivatBank, while the vast majority were client donations.
This is only one part of the bank's charity report. Overall, in 2025, PrivatBank directed UAH 246.2 million to charity, of which UAH 81.6 million was direct financial aid to the Defense Forces of Ukraine. A separate section of the report demonstrates the scale of PrivatBank's charitable ecosystem—the tools and services used by Ukrainians to support important initiatives. Throughout the year, 2.6 million clients made charitable transfers through the bank's channels, and the total volume of such payments exceeded UAH 3.5 billion.
“For PrivatBank, charity is a part of responsible business. We create a transparent and secure system where clients can easily support important initiatives and be confident that their funds are used for their intended purpose. At the same time, the bank systematically directs a portion of its resources to help the country—from the results of its operating activities after paying taxes and dividends to the state. We are convinced that for big business today, this is a natural and necessary component of work,” noted Mikael Björknert, Chairman of the Management Board of PrivatBank.
Overall, since the start of the full-scale war, the total value of the bank's aid is UAH 1.9 billion. Of this amount, UAH 937 million is financial aid for strengthening defense capabilities, developing medical infrastructure, supporting communities, and humanitarian needs. Another UAH 937 million is material aid from the bank. The annual charity report demonstrates key figures, the results of partner projects, and the scale of the bank's charitable ecosystem.
