Relocated Mariupol hospital received modern rehabilitation equipment worth 2,158,000 UAH from Privat
Medics from the Mariupol City Hospital, who relocated to Odesa in 2022, received a modern platform for non-drug pain therapy, spinal rehabilitation, and neuromuscular function recovery, valued at over 2 million UAH. This equipment will significantly accelerate the recovery of patients after injuries and diseases of the musculoskeletal system, as well as for neurological, urological, and gynecological disorders.
As part of the PrivatBank Board's visit to the south of Ukraine, Chairman of the Board Mikael Backman visited the medical center personally.
"Having heard the story of these amazing people, who are dedicated to their work, I really wanted to meet them and personally express my admiration. The resilience and devoted service of Ukrainian doctors to society never ceases to amaze me. It is a great honor for us to have the opportunity to contribute to the improvement of rehabilitation conditions at this hospital. I believe this equipment will help many people return to a full life without pain. This is a personal contribution of the bank and its clients to the nation's resilience and health," noted Mikael Backman, Chairman of the Board of PrivatBank.
"We are sincerely grateful to PrivatBank and its clients for the provided assistance and attention. We are grateful for Mr. Mikael's personal attention and support for our hospital and doctors. This equipment will allow us to significantly expand the range of outpatient and inpatient physiotherapy procedures for patients with neurological and orthopedic disorders. It has significant potential for effective non-drug pain relief, improving metabolic processes and the patient's metabolism, very effectively promoting the restoration of internal structures and systems of the body," said Viktoriia Repnikova, the hospital's director.
In 2022, employees of five hospitals, having overcome a difficult path, were able to leave the almost encircled and ruined Mariupol for Odesa, where, with the support of the state and numerous philanthropists, they opened the center for physical and mental rehabilitation for victims of the war, "I am Mariupol." Local and relocated doctors, including those from Mariupol and Melitopol, work collaboratively at the facility.
PrivatBank, together with its clients, systematically supports military personnel and medical institutions in Ukraine, who fight daily for the health and lives of Ukrainians, as part of its charitable campaign.
