The charity project of BF "Vidchui" and PrivatBank collected over 6 million hryvnias for an inclusiv

140 children were able to get their unforgettable experience of a real summer vacation thanks to patrons who collected 6 250 057 hryvnias through PrivatBank's charitable payment channels for the "We take and make summer!" program. The inclusive summer camp ran from June 9 to 19 thanks to a charity fundraiser initiated by PrivatBank and the "Vidchui" charitable foundation.
The camp was held in Transcarpathia and was aimed not only at rest, but also at overcoming communication barriers, socializing children with hearing impairment, children who were successfully returned from deportation, and those who lost their parents due to the war.
"We are grateful to every patron who understood and supported our project. We are grateful to Vodafone Ukraine and the ALLO marketplace, which each added 1 million hryvnias to our large collection with the flagship partner - PrivatBank. Thanks to this support, we were able to change our camp for the eighth time. After all, children have the right to a happy childhood, to summer - with all carelessness and that unique experience that everyone remembers with a smile in adulthood. We have to do everything so that even at this time our children get their share of summer with positive emotions and learn to communicate with each other", says Darya Gerasymchuk, director of the "Vidchui" organization.
"PrivatBank adopted the barrier-free strategy last year, and this year we are implementing many socially important programs to implement it. Supporting this camp for us is one of the defining projects of this strategy, because it not only gives "summer" to children from different parts of the country, but also once again emphasizes the vulnerability of our children at this clearly decisive time for the country, and also reminds the population about the importance of hearing screening, especially for survivors. We are happy that we were able to help, because we strive to develop a culture of inclusiveness and barrier-freeness in society," said Olesya Zhulynska, head of public relations and communications at PrivatBank.
During 11 days, the participants of two parallel shifts of the camp not only rested from worries and worries, but also had the opportunity to promote the development of their talents at various master classes, found new friends and participated in educational initiatives. The task of the inclusive camp is to help overcome barriers in communication and social skills of teenagers who have hearing impairments and those who do not have such impairments, but have suffered other traumas, including psychological ones. Also, the participant of the second parallel shift in the camp - families who have just learned about the diagnosis of their child - entered the early intervention service qualitatively and received the necessary psychological help.
