Sumy region hospitals have received life-saving medical equipment

Amidst the ongoing war and shelling, the charitable donations from PrivatBank clients have been converted into life-saving medical equipment for local people. Two hospitals in the Sumy region received medical equipment - namely, high-tech artificial lung ventilation machines (ALVs) worth UAH 2.9 million.

"High-quality medical care is now crucial for the residents of the Sumy region, especially when the people's life is at stake amid war conditions, - says Volodymyr Artiukh, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration. - I am proud that our country has such wonderful people willing to help through difficult times. I am grateful to every Ukrainian involved in the purchase of this medical equipment. And these are thousands of people rallied for a common goal. It's not just a gift of medical equipment, it's a gift of a chance to save someone's life."

This vitally important apparatus will become an integral part of the doctors' arsenal, allowing them to fight for every life.

“Dear clients of the Bank, your generous donations have become a real hope and salvation for patients in need of urgent medical assistance", says Valentyna Dominas, chief physician of the Central City Hospital. - “At the time when we face incredible challenges, your support comes like a ray of light. Your kind hearts and care help us to fight on.”

Volodymyr Horokh, Director of the Sumy Regional Clinical Hospital, and Artem Hrebeniuk, Head of the Endoscopy Department, noted that this equipment will be used not only in severe cases, but also during screening, since it allows to expand the spectrum of endoscopic interventions. According to doctors, this is a matter of new opportunities for colleagues and patients, because it will allow for more detailed examinations, excluding certain unpleasant physiological moments for patients.

"Wartime poses increasing challenges for every society. However, thanks to the donations of our clients, who, despite the difficulty, had courage to help others, we give hope - shared Andriy Tereshchenko, Director of the North-Eastern Macroregional Division of PrivatBank. - This equipment became now a symbol of unity and compassion. We call on everyone to join this noble action and show that together we can change lives and do good."

Two hospitals have been supplied with modern medical equipment thanks to the charitable donations of PrivatBank clients to the "Help to Hospitals and Medical Institutions of Ukraine" program, which is implemented by the Bank's "Helping is Easy!" Charity Fund. The program "Help to Hospitals and Medical Institutions of Ukraine" was launched in June last year. More than UAH 77 million have already been transferred to medical equipment, medicines, consumables for Ukrainian hospitals in different regions of Ukraine.
