PrivatBank adds UAH 5 million hryvnias to the fundraising for Superhumans

PrivatBank added UAH 5 mn of its own funds to support the charity fundraising which was launched at the end of April by PrivatBank and Superhumans Center. During this time, caring Ukrainians have already supported the project for 10 mn hryvnias.

The goal of the project “Fundraising for Superhumans: bringing back to life!” is to raise 50 million hryvnias to purchase modern prostheses for militaries and civilians who lost limbs or were injured due to the war.  The prosthetics are made at Superhumans Center, a world-class specialized medical center in Lviv. Here what’s been said about the aid which has been already provided with these funds:

“At Superhumans center we work with extremely difficult traumas: every day we see patients with double or triple amputations, but we never see frustration and despair. Our patients and doctors are ready to do and give their best to walk, run and work with the help of iron hands. Thanks to the contributions made by millions of Ukrainians, we are able to bring them back the opportunity to play football with children, cook favorite dishes and hug the beloved once. Our first five patients are already on their feet and take their first steps: Petro walked 2.5 kilometers in the forest, Denys walked up the stairs for the first time. Today, each hryvnia returns freedom of movements to those who sacrificed their health for our peace», - says Olha Rudneva, director of “Superhumans” charitable foundation.

Gerhard Boesch, Chairperson of PrivatBank Management Board added: “We are proud to feasibly support the Superhumans initiative. Bringing Ukrainians who suffered from the war back to their active and social life and movement is a challenge of the society which, I’m sure, we will overcome together.
